Agenda Highlights 2/25/25

At the Fort Smith Board of Directors study session meeting scheduled for 2-25-25, the Board will hear a presentation from Huddle Up Group regarding sports tourism and from Synergy Sports regarding funding for the indoor sports complex previously studied in 2022. The funding plan to be discussed is through a public-private partnership. The Advertising and Promotion Commission will ask the Board to place the indoor sports facility and partnership with the private funding organization on the agenda for a future voting meeting.

The Board will discuss the vacant positions of Director of Internal Audit (whose duties are currently being contracted out to the firm Baker Tilly) and City Administrator (whose duties are currently being done by Interim City Administrator Dingman).
