Agenda Highlights 10/26/21

The agenda for the Fort Smith Board of Directors study session meeting to be held 10-26-21 is comprised of presentation of the Capital Improvement Plans from the departments that were originally on the agenda for the 10-12-21 study session meeting but were postponed due to the length of the meeting.

Solid Waste will present their 10 year plan. They would like to spend a total of $9,380,226 in 2022. Plans include a new cell at the landfill and replacement of collection trucks.

The Utilities Department will present their 10 year plans. In 2022, they would like to spend a total of $86,953,300. $30,368,00 is planned for water spending (including improvements on Towson , expansion on Riverfront Drive, replacing 300 fire hydrants, and painting multiple water towers), $19,434,900 for non-consent decree related wastewater projects, and $36,338,400 for consent decree related wastewater projects.
