Agenda Highlights 9/7/21

At the Fort Smith Board of Directors meeting scheduled for 9-7-21, they will vote on whether or not to designate a part of the road and trail system in Fort Smith as USBR 51 through mapping and signage. The existing portion of USBR 51 bicycle route follows the Butterfield Overland Trail Route and ends in Alma. Extending it to include Fort Smith would link it to Greg Smith River Trail and the Fort Smith Historic Site.

The Board will vote whether to approve spending on the two issues (one for $1,941,825 and the other for $236,660) for water and sewer extensions on Riverfront Drive that were tabled at the 8-3-21 and 8-17-21 meetings.

There will also be a vote on whether or not to approve $31,390 in spending for a new city website and communications platform.
