Agenda Highlights 9/28/21

At the Fort Smith Board of Directors Study Session meeting scheduled for 9-28-21, they will be discussing the leasing of the Kelley Ballfields. The two entities that submitted proposals for the lease were the Fort Smith Church Baseball League and Fort Smith Youth Baseball and Softball. The proposal unanimously preferred by the Parks Department was the one from Fort Smith Youth Baseball and Softball.

There will also be a presentation on the current salaries and benefits structure for city employees and comparison of that with the offerings by other employers. There will be a discussion on how to be sure that the city is being competitive to attract and retain employees.
